Rain and wind.

We have a palm tree outside the office here in Basingstoke. If you squint, you can pretend its New Orleans outside.

So tomorrow looks like nationwide torrential rain and wind, who's already taken the decision to drive in ? or is anyone forced to cycle in and is dreading it?

And thru to Sat. !

Peeing down for hours here and only just let up. Gave my new rainlegs a go and found them to be superb!
Glad to hear they're good - haven't tried mine yet, it was so wild here this morning I succumbed to the lure of the car.

Last time it rained this hard we had to ride home through a few foot deep floods - quite scary!

LoL - though not PC

Biked in this morning for my first time in the rain, have previously been a fairweather only commuter. My Aldi bought rainproof top worked a treat, tops of my Altitude shorts were waterproof as well, shame the bum wasn't, which I only discovered after sitting on my office chair

Blowing a hoolie now, still black clouds over head, have to wait to see what tonights commute has in store.

Anyone else get affected by kids back at school and chaos outside school gates?

I sat and watched the weather forecast last night with Mrs L-C and I said, "it doesn't look too good tomorrow .. I might not ride in". To which she replied, "don;t talk c**p, you'll look out the window in the morning and it won't be raining so you'll say, 'it looks OK', ride in and get soaked on the way home".

This morning, we got up, I looked out the window, said "it's not raining, think I'll ride to work" and then got that wry "i knew it" smile from her. Now it's chucking it down here and blowing a gale. Could be a fun trip home.

Been chucking it down all day here in North Wales and just getting darker and harder. Had to cancel a photo session earlier as the photographers were worried about thier cameras getting wet. Not a problem for me as I had to jump in the River Dee!
