Montane Event Stormrider jacket - any experience?

I'm looking for a really, really waterproof jacket.

Someone has suggested the Montane Event Stormrider - does anyone have any experience of this?

Or can recommend another properly waterproof (including high collar) breathable jacket?

eVent is supposedly about as good as it gets (at the moment) for waterproof / breathability.... I know you'll know that Ben!

I really hope someone here has experience of it because I'd love to get a 1st hand account.

For what it's worth my Endura Venturi eVENT jacket is great. Very waterproof and very breathable.

I have one of these jackets and am pleased with it. Keeps me dry from the rain (not that I've been out in horrendous conditions) but just as importantly dry on the inside. I hate that clammy feeling...

I got mine from AW Cycles early part of last year, almost half price. I believe these jackets are no longer made and if they're in stock at the place you linked to you might want to try to get a discount - "... end of line, last years style, out of fashion.." etc
