Me row? Erm I had shoulder operation in mid March. I don't think my surgeon would approve. It's why I am not allowed to cycle either

You could just sit in the cafe and watch, or visit the windmill (open to public) or the iconic House in the Clouds, not open to public. Actually a disguised water tower, build around same time as mere.
And another long weekend away, hiring a little house in central Aldeburgh for 3 days in July

Any suggestions for eateries or things to do in that neck of the woods?

We go to Aldeburgh at least once a year. The Regatta and the Lighthouse are the best restaurants, avoid the Brudenell Hotel. Fish and chips on the beach is a must. Lots to do there. Snape Maltings for retail and a bit of Britten, Orford Ness for relaxing boat trips. Southwold for a proper seaside town with a lovely pier, linked with a short walk south to Walberswick.

Are you going with children or just adults?

Two weeks until our next visit, can't wait, it's our happy place.

Going next Friday. Regatta booked for Saturday eve. Thanks for the reco

Other than the places at the maltings, anywhere good around snape for Friday lunch? Probably going to do fish & chips in the evening so something lightish

Also might rent bikes for a potter on the Sunday. Seem to be a few companies. Any better/worse than others?

There is a pub in the village of Snape, I don't know what it's like, Snspe maltings is pretty much on its own. Perhaps venture the few miles to Orford, nice pubs, the smokehouse and a decent cafe on the quay.
