On TV there are now ads for a battery powered lawnmower. Does anyone have one? Are they any good? I've got a battery strimmer, some German thing, and that's pretty decent, but a mower is a good step up.

That Gtec thing will be total crapp..
You can tell in the add. even on a neat manicured lawns it's crapp..it's too light and flimsy

If you want a good mower it needs to be larger and heavier..with an engine or a plug.
You can get a decent mower for a lot less than that Gtec..£250 ish will get you a good mower

In was looking at Subaru powered mowers recently, but my garden is medium sized and quote flat, so they would have been overkill and then some. Plus being the new age hippy I've become I don't want a petrol mower.

The gtech mower did indeed look poop, as does anything bearing their name, but with battery technology and stored energy density improving as it has, I was curious if any other such mowers were any good?

I have the Gtech ebike, got over a thousand miles of commuting on it now and it hasn't missed a beat!.

The battery on the Mower looks night on Identical so it should do a decent sized lawn.

A few people I know bought their vacuum cleaners and are very happy with them!

The ebike is very well thought out, very clean and simple design and just works, Gates Carbon Drive is a godsend..

I bought a battery-powered lawnmower years ago. It cost a fair bit more than a petrol one, but it works really well. If I have a lot of mowing to do, sometimes I'll have to recharge it partway through the mowing. It's fairly quiet compared to petrol mowers. It's very easy to turn on: none of this pulling a cord rubbish. I haven't regretted buying it.
