Tonight I am going to up my commute mileage on my way home. Instead of my usual 6 miles I'm going to push for 8 and there's a bit of a hill in the way too.

Let's hope my legs can take it and my lungs don't explode.

I think you'll surprise yourself at how well you do, even on the hill.

Good luck with it and let us know how you get on please.

Moved house or taking a detour?

well done gaz .Take it nice and steady and the extra miles will soon strengthen your legs and improve your cadio-vascular fitness.
I usually time myself so that I can see the improvement (or not) over time.;)

Well, here is the hill (OK, maybe incline is a better word, but it's a hill for me) according to Bikehike

UPDATE - I made it up that hill, Hurrah !! Had to stop at the top as my lungs nearly packed in (That gives me good reason to pack the cigs in, I very nearly had to use the granny ring too). Seems to be a slightly nicer route so I'll be using it from now on.

I've worked out my 10mile route so will be trying that soon too !!

Just wish there was a scenic route to take, ah well, beggars can't be choosers!!

100ft over a quarter mile - you should be getting up there without panting or sweating in 2 months if you keep at it and give up the tabs

but well done for trying.
