After a brief break (over the time I'd taken as leave so no commuting anyway . . .) we've got snow again! Another 1.5" here and it's still falling! It's pretty wet snow too so combined with freezing overnight temperatures over the next few days will result in plenty of nasty ice.

Looks like the car will be called into service again for the next few days.

I think the Turbo will actually have to be used this week.....

I'm going to leave the car at home (no on-site parking at work) and catch the bus.

This winter sucks. Unusual for such a prolonged cold spell. I have a new bike to try but am not going to risk the first ride being on ice. Grrr. When is it Spring?

Just got back from a 5 mile round trip to a bottle bank (note to self: get bigger panniers before next New Year) and the snow was beautiful although glasses are a must to stop the freezing squints.

A very careful ride of course, but the only slides were starting off from lights wheelspin and braking for my drive way.

Bet tomorrow is frozen again and awful.

Had people unable to get into work today due to the snow that is falling around Edinburgh, over a foot in the fields around me and no sign of a thaw yet

Just looked out and found we've had another covering of snow in the last hour or so. Unbelievable!;) I can't ever remember a cold snap lasting this long. Don't the weather gods know that I've got a new bike that needs to be taken out for a ride.

It's not going to be too bad here in South Lincs, couple of chilly commutes next week by the look of it...Planning on going into the woods on my MTB as well!

No cycling possible in NE Fife since 18th Dec, in fact its snowing at the moment. About 7 inches lying on a base of ice, dangerous to walk on never mind turning a pedal. Top temp +3, lowest recorded -11 deg so even if I could get out the windchill may be the end of me.

Back at work on Monday so it will be the car for me. With no change forcast for the next week or so my biggest challange is keeping the weight off a battle I am currenly losing badly.
