Morning breakfast?

Can't do oats at all, damn things kill me! Any coffee is no-no as well, I also can't eat any fruits or veggies as insoluable fiber is NOT good for me at all.

Wife got me some energy bars but all they did is cramp me up. Maybe I'll try some Ensure or something similar.

This morning I started off like gangbusters, but half way to work hit the wall, hard. Had nothing to give and the ride was more work than fun.

The trip home though was fast and I think I could have done the round-trip again I had that much energy!

Regardless I have no intention of stopping and am excited about the future purchase of a new cyclocross!

I'm a long-term UC sufferer so you have sympathy. I can't add to the diet suggestions already made on here, but for many years there was no way I could summon up the energy to even cycle round the block let alone commute. I have been able to commute for the last 3 years however and I think it has made a big difference to my health - so keep the commute going if you can, it may actually help with your symptoms.

I cycle 15 miles each way to work and don't have anything before I set-off except a couple of espresso's.
When I get into work I tend to have a banana and have recently started having a 9 bar as well. I like them, and I think they might be ok for someone suffering from CD's (although you best check!) as they're free from dairy, wheat, gluten and chocolate. They're basically seed/nut-based 'natural' energy bars.

As too the honey yoghurt I have after. Shh keep that one quiet.

I really should eat before I cycle but I'll stick with the current system until I'm given a reason to change.

Same, never eat before the commute (apart from the occasional pick when making the sandwiches). Sometimes knock back a Berocca in the morning, but this isn't anything to do with the cycling.

My favourite 'everyday' breakfast is a hybrid of (No added sugar) Alpen mixed with Scott's Porage Oats, boiling water poured in the bowl, and as it begins to thicken a little honey mixed in.

Alas I'm not in a nice contract where I can cycle in currently, haven't been on the road bike for around three weeks. Seriously dying to get back on. Maybe a nice ride this weekend...
