I recently cancelled mine due to reading and thinking over the renewal letter. Me and the wife got made redundant together a few years back and ours only started to kick in a month after. This crippled us financially for a lot of that year but the annoying thing was after missing a mortgage payment of circa £500 before it kicks in, they assume people have this spare cash lying around!

Anyway there probably is better policies and companies to get this with, especially at this state the economy is in. I am just a bitter barsteward as when I needed it most it failed.

Good luck with the job hunt. My first redundancy was just before I exchanged contracts on my first house. I was so shocked I forgot to tell the lender but it worked out ok. My last was after I'd repaid it all, fortunately.

Little Valley brewery is only open during the week; 09:00 - 17:00, Mon - Fri (except bank holidays).
Apparently, tours can be arranged by contacting them in advance, but I don't know if we'd need a minimum number of people for them to bother putting a tour on. I'll get in touch with them to find out.
