Motivation Needed

Struggling for motivation to get on the bike for my commute today :sad:.

Its normally a 40 mile round trip 4 days a week, last day today. But recently its increased by 7 miles out of necesity and although not much its really done me in this week and my legs are like dead weights this morning...

Only one more day to go then 4 days rest...

im a little tea pot
I was debating getting a lift home from the station tonight with a 10% gradient for about a mile but im gonna risk it! Lots of caffeine and energy gels before you set off will perk you up! Lol.

Just think of it as more conditioning and you'll breeze through it and think "was it really that bad" later on!

On my 3rd coffee already! Banana, oats n honey and protein for breakfast... I think im going to spend a few extra minutes stretching and leave early...!

If my legs feel like dead weights I just take it easier to start with and maybe spin abit more.

Just think of how much fun it will be when you're old to tell your grandkids: "You young whipper-snappers don't know how good you have it. When I were a lad, I had to commute 40 miles to work and back, on a bicycle! And bananas were rationed, and we 'ad to sleep in an air raid shelter".

I hope so.

I often find that the mornings when I set off with low motivation and legs feeling heavy, I post a fast time to work. Odd.
