It's that time of the year again when the dark mornings, darker evenings, rain, wind & cold temperatures makes us a little less enthusiastic about getting out on our bikes to get the winter miles in. Have a look at this fantastic 12 year old and what she can achieve and then get out and ride your bike

Is it me, or was the guy speaking so bl**dy irritating, chapeau to the girls for getting the miles in, but I would be interested to know how motivated they would be to get out and ride in a British winter.

Yep, a video of people riding in warm, dry, sunny weather in the USA is just the motivation people need to ride through a northern European winter..

Well it looks like I'm the only one who is in awe of these two youngsters cycling 200 miles. A fantastic achievement and if it were my children I would be giving them all the encouragement I could. Yes the father may well sound irritating to us this side of the pond, but he's just typical proud American parent giving his children as much encouragement as they need to get them through a tough day in the saddle

It's a good achievement, a bit like the 8 year old who rode up Ventoux recently. Doesn't want to make me go out and ride in cold, wet, freezing weather over here, unfortunately.
