I recently acquired a Motobecane Special Sport which I've turned into a bit of a 'path racer'.
It wasn't completely original when I purchased it, so nothing was lost and another old bike gets a new lease of life.
It has a 3 speed derailleur and LMA brakes. It rides remarkably well.
I would be interested to know what year it would have been manufactured.
Any ideas?
PS. The other bike is my wife's 'Olympique' Mixte - tres jolie, n'est-ce pas?

I'm not altogether sure that the markings on the calipers are date related. The rear caliper needed replacing. I Googled 'LAM 72/49' and there seemed to be quite a number for sale. I got a set of front and rear calipers, with levers and cables and pads - all new, old stock - for £15 posted from France.:okay:
