Are you telling me you are riding off the edge of your tyres?
otherwise the contact patch is the same, with the tyres I used the only difference was I'd moved from the harder to the softer compound of the tyre.

For a bike, the handling characteristics change the faster you go because when you go faster, you lean over more, the contact patch of the tyres decrease with the lean angle, and the COG alters the further over you go.(loading up shear forces) body position on a bike can also make a big difference to the COG, and these loads.
You don't see these differences in cars, and thart is why it takes a lot more skill to go fast on a bike than a car.
No it doesn't... basic fact of physics. The application of bike handling skills change & your error margins decrease. This means you need more skill to say upright. However you're applying the same skill basic skill set to control the bike no matter what the speed. The only way to require a different basic skill set is to change the laws of physics.
