Such shades are possibly illegal for driving / riding bikes. Do most people even realise that there is a minimum level of light transmittance for sunglasses? Although 13% is legal for glasses (cat 4 is illegal, which stops over 92% of light), the limit is strangely 50% for motorbike visors.

Mine has a second visor, and it's fab.

And it's not that obvious, if you ride motorbikes that is. :smile:

I've ridden bikes for years and nowadays use a black..not tinted...fully black visor.
I disagreed with them too until I actually tried one. Regardless of the specs, the difference is no more that wearing sunglasses. Sunglasses are very difficult to remove in a hurry. Visors can by flipped up or down in a fraction of a second.

Fact is the guy was going faster then he was capable of.
