The post above reminds me of last winter. I was on the brompton and overtaken at the top of a steepish hill by a gritter, that thankfully was not gritting. I put my head down and stayed behind him (3ft, maybe a bit close) at a cracking speed (for a brompton!). The car behind me tried to overtake me twice (??). Both times had to pull in for refuges in the centre of the road. Their failed overtaking manoeuvres were then my fault judging by the horn?? Not quite sure what they were going to do once they had overtaken me....
.. get alongside you and then just move back into the lane. Once they've got the driver seat past you and can't see you you're no longer their problem. After all, you don't even pay ..

Left turners are the pits,i have had a few of them which for some unknown reason are in knackered little hatchbacks like Punto's ect ! After my days antics i am toying with the idea of a helmet cam....something i never thought might be a nessesary piece of cycling kit !

The distance from that speed bump to the junction is about 35 Meters which is roughly 75 yards in old money.

Hey- it's not old money! It's a perfectly legitimate measurement with every bit of relevance today as them meters n'that. Though I agree with previous post in terms of comparison between the two.
