Why would they want horner?

Love him or (almost unanimously) hate him he's good at his job.

Horner, Woolf, Braun; very few come along that can lead a team to a period of dominance like these men.

And Horner has done it twice, across two generations of car with two different drivers. That's why Fezza (might) want him.

Hes not my cup of dried leaves in boiling water, but he hasn't killed anyone, hasn't been caught trying to manipulate race results like Flav, and he's arguably the most successful TP of the last 3mor 4 decades.

Just seen the news as to what caused Hamilton's problems. He ran over a groundhog. Not sure I've ever seen wildlife be the cause of an F1 problem before!

In 1990, Alessandro Nannini famously ran over a beaver in practice for the Canadian GP. They turned the pelt into a Davy Crockett type hat for him.

One of my marshal friends is known colloquially as "Deadsquirrel" due to running over a squirrel at Brands with his truck while responding to an incident. Incidentally, he was marshalling at Tetre Rouge with his missus at Le Mans.

He, may, despite the rumours of discontent, bring Max with him.

I can't see Max being the merciless racer that he is coming over all offended and righteous that Horner has been putting it about or sexting sexy ladies in the team.

I could well imagine Max doing the same..

I can also see Max being lured by the £squillions and promise of a fast red car and millions of adoring Tifosi to boost his ego.

There have been quite a few actually - it was groundhog day at the Canadian GP as they've been hit before at that track.
The worst was a fatality at the '60 Belgian GP - bird hit driver's face and he crashed.
Johansson (sp?) hit a deer at Austria.
Bruno Senna a dog in Turkey one year.

I would not be surprised if that was in his contract!

It's one I took at Brands Hatch in 2006 and was the result of a race car, not your marshalling friend to the best of my knowledge. Nothing stopping you using it to wind him up though
