A good confidence boost for Max.
I really couldn't see the point of the McLaren team orders. It contributed nothing towards their result or points.
They swapped the pitting order praying for a safety car for Lando to get a free stop telling him there would be no undercut and then fluffed his pit stop enabling Oscar to undercut him and presume felt they should rectify it , Not sure you roll the dice and take your chance a fluffed pit stop can come anytime

Thats a sign of weakness of the team. Not complacency as such, but being distracted by minor or ireelvant matters that contribute zero to the points haul is an early sign they losing their strategic grip. Even without the major technical regulation changes its isn't a good sign for 2026.
Mark my words - it seems insignificant now, but I guarantee its an early symptom of a serious malaise.

As far as Max was concerned it was like the Good Old Days
nice for him
worrying for evervyone else
but as the commentators said - that sort of track plays against the McLaren's strengths
But I certainly didn;t expect Max to be as off into the sunset as that!
