Mountain bike "A heavy BEAST"

Went on a 6 mile spin on my mountain bike, I averaged 8 mph. It was a mixture of hilly, very hilly and flat.

Anyway, got frustrated when I got back, weighed the beast. It weighed 14.8 KG.

I really cannot wait until my road bike arrives, 2 weeks and counting !!! My new bike is an entry range carbon claud butler strada, hopefully alot lighter and faster!!!

So it is 5kg over weight - I wish I was only 5kg oveweight!

14.8kg isn't too bad. I bet the Strada is 11/12kg.

Once you get used to the Strada you will find that it rolls along much easier / quicker. However, it's going to take you a while to get used to those high gears.

Think would rather rather loose the 3kg and ride wtf I like. It's the tires that make it feel a beast?
