Moving home..

After 11 years at our present place, we have decided to move home. It's only locally, but JEEZ! What a kerfuffle!
Apart from friends to tell, there is an ever growing list of people and companies to inform:-
Work, BT, Gas, Electric, Water, O2, banks, Inland Revenue, pensions, insurances, shares, premium bonds, doctor, dentist, library, DVLA,RAC, digicard, Tesco clubcard, Nectar card, ebay, paypal, L2B, Bikeathon, blood donation.... & on & on. ( Not forgetting my STRAVA privacy zones)

Half the house is packed, mainly stuff we'll need I reckon, and t'other half is half in and half out of boxes!!
A sample conversation..
"Where's the food mixer?"
"Packed"
"Why!!! I need cake!!"
"Buy one"
"NO, I need proper cake. Which box is it in?"
"Not telling you!!
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I do not intend doing this again. It's wayyyyyyyyyyyyy to stressful!!

You have my sympathy both on the cake and the moving house front. After 12.5 years on the same house, we sold everything we owned (house was rented) and set off to cycle around the world. The last 4 months were 'interesting' to say the least. We had to get everything down to 6 boxes per parents house.

Where you a touch closer I would offer to bake you one...

PS - have you remembered to do the Royal Mail redirect service? needs something like 5 days to get set up.

Thanks for the cake offer... Yep, Royal Mail is on the list of things to do.

The local Charity Shop is doing well out of us, plus the tip (apologies, 'Recycling Zone, a Centre of Excellence') is overflowing with junk from the back corners of the attic and sheds.

We moved last year for the 3rd time, each time because of a new addition to the family. The last time we hired a removal company. Took a lot of the pressure off but hopefully we won't have to move for a long long time!! The thought of organizing a move again is exhausting. Best of luck!!
