Flushed with success at working out how to do 'forward delete' on my Macbook air keyboard, I decided to move the position of the @ symbol back to its normal UK keyboard position to shift+'. Googling hasn't really helped. Does anyone know how to do this since it is causing continuing frustration?

Thanks, @classic33. The thing is the symbol is where it should be on the Apple keyboard i.e. above the 2. However, I like it where I am used to seeing it i.e above the single quotation mark.

It looks like there isn't an easy way to move it. Ho hum.

Don’t you just need to tell the computer it’s got a uk/us keyboard (as appropriate) to fool it into moving the @? I know I’ve done this on a windows laptop in the past- can’t say off the top of my head if it would work on OS X I’m afraid, as my computer is off and I’m in bed!

Unfortunately not, @irw. Apple has some quirky ideas in respect of the UK keyboard and the position of the @ symbol is one of them.
