Ben had watched the shorts by the general public on the end of the Lego movie and asked how it was done.... I assumed (wrongly) with a video a camera..... I googled it at lunchtime and found some freeware which I downloaded to his netbook and we had a go with the inbuilt camera....... hence the dodgy focus... so a webcam may now be purchased...... I've given him rough instructions on what WE did (he pressed the capture button while i moved Mrs Lego-woman with a stick..... ) the result is 10 second video now shared on facebook..... Ive explained he is now on his own with it.....

What happened then was he went to bed....and I ate a curry and drank a 4 pack......

Lovely little first attempt, especially over the course of an evening. That much footage would have taken a month in early Aardman days. Kudos!

It took about half an hour and I explained that Wallace and Gromit was a similar principle.... the slight shake is obviously the screen wobbling (and therefore the rear facing camera) when we pressed capture but the the software we used was freeware monkeyjam...... seems really simple to use..... I hadn't got a clue until today when I googled stop frame then freeware for stop frame......

I reckon I may have opened a can of worms.......

A lenevo windows 10 inch tablet with detachable keyboard It has a rear facing camera which we filmed This on.... Think It was about 100 quid for his birthday last year
