1979 isn't early enough to make it a classic. You could counter claim with the 193x King Kong - the rippling fur in that movie is a delightful artefact of stop motion - but a late 70s music video, no.
If I did want to inspire a kid with a mid century music video, I'd skip that and go straight to Sledgehammer

A webcam with its own mini tripod (almost as if they knew what we were going to do with it ..) purchased for a tenner from Argos and a couple of crisp boxes scrounged to act as a studio/back drop .... This puzzled him at first until I cut the front of one of them..... Now to waste a couple of ink cartridges printing scenery

Should work it just takes a capture of a live feed I've got a cheap action can but hasn't got a Tripod mount so went with a webcam. The monkeyjam software is so easy to use
