Came off last week, back wheel came out from under me on some mud while the roads were wet in the morning. I ride on quiet country lanes to work. I was only turning a very gentle corner at the time then BAM! - next thing I know I'm on the deck, some driver pulls up coming the other way and helps me up. Got a nice big bruise on my hip now, but am more pissed off about the fact that I broke a mudguard, bent one of the hoods and my rear mech (or something around it) is clicking and gears aren't shifting quite right.
Farmers have been leaving stupid amounts of mud all over the roads at the moment and it's downright dangerous in the wet or damp. Can local councils do anything about this!???! I swear that stuff is more slippery than ice!
