Mugging in West Wickham Kent

my old mother in law mugged yesterday in West Wickham, 2 forigners (male) one poked map in her face asking for directions whilst other wnet into her bag. So if you know anybody around there let them know do they can be aware
She was not hurt but said the one with map was quite aggresive

I always thought my wife's handbags were big, but to get a whole mugger in there!

She should have closed the catch and taken the bag to the police station

There was a report of this sort of thing going on in Morrisons, Gravesend. As you are putting the shopping in the boot somebody asks you where a place is, he/she may have a map. As you give directions your attention is taken away from the boot, or the car in general, and another unseen person grabs a handbag out of the boot. They watch for the person they think they can work in this scam, elderly and willing to help. They watch where the handbag goes and then approach.
