There was a chap (name escapes me) who did a piece at the end of the GW magazine who referred to his wife as 'the fragrant one'.

Ah No.

It actually comes from IIRC from the Geoffrey Archer perjury trial, when in summing up the judge referred to his wif as the fragrant Mrs Archer. I thought it odd at the time.

Edit: I should have read the earlier replies first.

I was in work much of the day doing visits to folk before I go back. I had an appointment at the hospital local to work so stayed in work rather than drive home and back. Had a good run into work in 30 mins but it was a good hour drive home. The constant clutch work has put stress on my neck. Been in bed.

Appointment with the endocrinology Dept was a waste of time. Come back in another 6 months. No idea what my bloods are. Given up now.

It was brilliant, I love the music anyway and the dancers were amazing.
Indeed, Expert level theatre poncery from Mr & Mrs Curtain ^_^

By coincidence, I noticed an ''I've been to the Pilot'' sticker in the back window of a car today. Odd because I was in the completely different end of Kent.
It does have a reputation. Deservedly so! We used to go to a similar establishment in Ferry side, South Wales, near Carmarthen. Nothing there at all but folk used to come from far and wide for the fish and chips.

Today has been a day of showers, some of which were heavy. This evening has been a lot brighter with blue skies and clouds further inland, a nice pleasant evening so we went for a stroll along the beach, watching a long line of gulls paddling on the tide line. We saw a flotilla of 12 Cormorants swimming along together, this group gradually increased to 20. A group of 4 Gannets were also patrolling the bay.

I did get a few hugs from people and they were glad to see me walking. I think the broken spine message that went round really shook folk up. They have all asked that I'm not cycling anymore.

I've said no commuting but have been on the MTB. Think a few were going to lock me up.

We've also got another girl off with permanently damaged discs but she is a world champion weight lifter (not that you would notice normally). She's been off a few months and it looks like the end of her weights

I found this picture we took of the Mackerel Sky the other evening. View attachment 131867

Stunning picture.

I couldn't make up my mind whether to have jam or peanut butter on my toast this morning, I went for jam in the end because it is home made

You should have had both together - absolutely delicious!

Wow, that is some picture, we had a sky like that over Guide Camp last year View attachment 131875

Another lovely photo.

I can't find my gloves.

Do you have spares?

There is blue in the sky and the road is calling!!!

What a great image!

Oh dear. Can you get an automatic?

I appear to have teething biceps. It's that upper arm stiffness that you get after carrying around a baby who's teething north and south big time and who will stay calm as long you keep slowly moving around humming a tune to her but the instant you try to sit down it's ''Waaaaahahahahah!''

Aw, bless.

Very poetic.
