Broke the MTB yesterday (new one). Lost a chainring bolt and the bar end cap. Shop hadn't done up the chainring bolts very well, and I didn't check. Knocked the bar end cap off clipping a fence on a dodgy downhill section. New bolts and grips on order - getting rid of the white grips as they look a mess after just 3 rides.

Don't have any spare chainring bolts in the bike cave, SRAM GXP's bolt straight into the chainring and are slightly larger diameter than standard ones.

Just finished fixing the brakes on a bike for a neighbour's kid.

Just trying to work out how a tiny single speed bike seems to be just as heavy as a vintage adult 3 speed. What have they made it from?
