Another truly gorgeous day on my beach. Housework and fence painting today.

Thank goodness @hopless500 is going too clean my bike for me tomorrow whilst I am out

I heard someone say once (might have been of this very parish), that listening to jazz was marginally less pleasant than repeatedly upending one's cutlery draw from a height of 6 feet over a tiled floor...

Just thinking the same about the weather, whilst it is not bucketing it down in Leicester it is coming down enough to get you very wet.

Time for another brew and a bacon butty I think, then I'm going to watch A Few Dollars More. Hopefully after that I'll be inclined to get out for an hour.

I got up and the sun was shining brightly, by the time I'd put the bins out it had clouded over and started raining and its still raining steadily now. I was looking forward to my usual Thursday loop and meeting up with friends at Hatton Locks.

I have 2 days off due to getting on well...nice sunny week
i have to see a man about a Corn on my little toe at 12 ,little bugger wont go so its drill time,..

i may go for a 2hr ride before that as its going to be sore.

It does that here in Australia as well. It is most annoying.

On the bright side of things it has been all day here today.
The downside is that I have spent the entire day in bed feeling sorry for myself.
Another upside is that I have managed to keep a tiny weenie bit of a quinoa bar down and some tonic water. I may risk an egg for evening meal. My diet could have a boost today!

Morning. I'm feeling a bit better this morning, over the past few days I have been feeling cold so wether I have a bug I'm not sure.

Any way Gwen was asking where the kitten was this morning, he is with my daughter round her friends house for the night. My cat and the kitten are gradually making friends and cuddle next to each other for a nap in the afternoon. Yesterday Gwen had a bit of a go at washing him.

Just dropped my 16yo off at the Oxfam sorting centre for a volunteering appointment. No helicopter parenting - he's got to look after himself.

He's just finished his GCSE's and I'm keen for him to get a range of experience so we've asked him to consider a day a week volunteering. Despite mutterings he's agreed, which given he's got Asperger's I'm pleased with.

I did suggest he comes and helps with the cycle training, marshalling, etc. but he thinks "cyclists are stupid for riding to places they didn't need to go to just to drink coffee and eat cake!" so it probably isn't a good idea.
