You'll all shout at me but isn't a fish fingers sandwich the same as putting a ham sandwich in a sandwich?

(Also, as much as I love fish fingers, I've stopped buying fish as I don't trust the big companies to look after the oceans and marine life.)
There is a really good list you can get that tells you which companies are good and adhere to the regulations, I got one from the Sealife Centre.

Where's that ignore button.

Having grown up in Cornwall I can confirm (insist ) that jam is always 1st with cream blobbed on top.
And malt loaf smothered in butter :hungry::hyper:

No, cream must be first and it is skōn not skŏn.

It is the cone way, the gone way is norvern!

Yeah, my wife says skŏn & she's a brummy.

Cream on top as the cream is the best bit. Don't care how anyone pronounces it.
100% agreement here.

I once had a cream tea and they served apricot jam with it. Not in any way acceptable, strawberry and at a push raspberry if it's locally made.

Spread? Just dollop it on and then add more

How uncouth. How can you get a 2" layer of cream and 2" layer of strawberry jam like that? (I'm assuming, of course, that the scone is 1"- 2" thick)

Oh dear.
