I can't bear heated or cooked banana unless it's disguised in a cake. My method of dealing with overripe bananas is to mash them up with yoghurt and then add muesli. :hungry:

I've got an amazing banana cake recipe for using overripe bananas. It's very easy and doesn't need icing. I'll post it up when I get a chance later.

I've not finished catching up with this thread but am about to leave the pub.

So here is our yesterday. Twelve hours of music and science at Bluedot Festival, including the first time we saw Beth Orton who was OK and Lanterns on the Lake who we have never heard of but were brilliant.

Air did an hour set of their best bits. We got right up to the front and were mesmerised as usual. They opened with 'our song' Venus, we held each other tight and my eye may have got a little moist.

Finally Jean Michel Jarre closed the night. I didn't know much about what he has been up to since Oxygene and I was expecting an old bloke twiddling with a Moog. I was wrong, he gave a set of techno and full on dance music. I lost my shoot and was throwing shapes with a daft grin on my face along side the kids. The light show and staging was mind blowing, stunning stuff.

Fantastic day, bedtime was 4.30 this morning so today started just after midday and will be slow paced. I am still in my nightshirt but may change to proper clothes when I hang the washing out.

Actually I have a good banana recipe too... A chocolate bread and butter pudding! Even one of the summerlings who doesn't like bananas likes this one!

Welcome to Boat Chat forum.

That's a really lovely picture.

I made up a batch of cheats sour dough then fancied a cup of coffee. Rang Mr Summerdays to see if he wanted one then headed off to the allotment. It was all going well till I became lunch for a group of cleggs! View attachment 135800 View attachment 135801
That's a blurred photo of a biting insect and no you are not having photos from where it was removed!

Ow. But what is a clegg?

The joy of leaving a festival car park. We might be here at sun up.

Home for tea and cheese toasties.

I thought you would be camping there for the weekend!

Great festival, couldn't post any photos whilst we were there because the mobile signal at Jodrell Bank is very bad - but that's how they like it.

I thought you had to put your phone into aeroplane mode because of the radio transmitter.

Morning. We have been looking for places to go to for our welding anniversary and I think we will need a holiday just from looking.
We had thought about the Isle of Wight, but that seems to be a bit of a logistical night mare. We did a day trip there on our honeymoon, first trip on a hovercraft, and then a coach trip around the island to Alum bay.
I didn't know that you could refine your searches for places to stay by selecting piano!

That made me smile. Is it going to be a special anniversary?

He is in full pickle mode this morning. He has just climbed into the closed boiler cupboard from underneath:wacko:

One of the best yet. Well done Henry!

Sounds brilliant. I'd forgotten that I like Air.I've not heard them since Jazz fm stopped broadcasting on digital radio, I'll look them up. I saw Jean Michael Jarre at the MEN Arena in Manchester a few years ago. I was awed.

I was looking to hang out some washing, BBC say no rain, rainydays and the sky disagree with the BBC
I was going to suggest you send TVC.

Normally yes it's phones off, but they weren't doing science yesterday.

Air have just released an anthology 'twenty years', might be worth getting. Jean-Michel Jarre is touring the UK in October. Unfortunately we already have stuff on the dates he's within reasonable travelling distance from me, otherwise I would have bought tickets today.
