Just got my cycling gear ready to go out on a ride, got to the shed to get my bike out and the heavens have opened.

When we were at Kota Kinabalu airport we were approached by a member of the ground crew who explained that they didn't have enough meals on board so were asking if anyone would give up their food for someone else, as a thankyou a meal voucher was offered to use at Hong Kong airport. We agreed because we knew we were being fed on the next flight and refused the voucher. They boarded families first and we were escorted on before everyone else, when everyone had their meal we were given bottles of water and fussed over, juice and a packet of mixed nuts each were handed to us. We were given more water and more nuts, very nice they were too apart from the wasabi peas, we now have 2 packets of nuts saved for Christmas

Sunny and bright here. Rain Today however shows that the weather has reached Coventry and should be with us in about half an hour. Bum.

Merlump is still sneezing, but she has a bit more bounce about her today so she's on the mend.

Morning. I totally miss calculated the degree of difficulty in waking up this morning. Never mind, it looks a bit windy outside and there are some light blue and some yellow bits showing through the grey sky.

Given the forecast, I've decided that Idiot Dog requires another day of rest and recuperation. I got quite excited about La Vuelta starting today until I remembered that it's highlights only and not until 10pm!

Beautiful sunshine here on our last day in Walberswick.
Last night we watched an amazing fireworks display over the mere at Thorpeness. Some of the rockets exploded with the most humongous array of stars you've ever seen, filling the sky.
