Oh yes, not been able to find out if the Lichfield Festival is having fireworks as usual this year. However if they are on they will start precisely an hour after the free music festival ends.

So, what do we have for dinner this evening? At lunchtime we went to the pub for diet coke and a bacon & brie sandwich- they didn't have bread because they are changing the menu, would a baguette be ok? yes fine. What we both got was a generous sized baguette, chips and salad-from the lunch menu. That was at midday, here we now are at 5.30 and neither of us have even mentioned food. It was going to be a curry.

I walked around May Hill, not loads of miles but hot and sticky! (After the dash to Cardiff to get the eldest back in time for work).

Phew, the free enforced music festival has finished - how does that work, a commercial enterprise (pub) running a charity event? Who decides what the charity gets and the pub gets?

Just waiting to see if the fireworks start. At least they will be brief and colourful.
