Ironically we were having internet connection issues last night on all devices... All are using a 3G signal for internet... I didn't twig. And the only device without any connection is the only, sorry was the only, device to have the aurora app installed . It is also the only phone I have and where the text message alerts for the northern lights get sent to. It has no signal at all sadly!
The aurora app is now on this device which will work fine until the 200Mb card runs out! £1 BTW...

Actually my husband was nice last night, I had to go to a meeting at school to hear how they are mucking up the grades and haven't quite decide what each grade means yet, so I missed watching Bake-Off, so when I came home he made a cup of coffee and cake, and sat down to watch the final even though he has not really been that interested in the series. I think it was guilt at not having to go to the meeting.

I descided against watching the final because I'm an episode behind at the moment. I will have to watch the one I have downloaded first but unless I want to spend a fortune on mobile data the final is going to have to wait until I get home!

Find somewhere with free wifi? Each time I've gone on holiday we've had problems (partially due to picking remote houses), and so I usually work out where we can get free wifi to be able to look up stuff about an area once I'm there. One place meant going shopping to Tesco's very regularly, but we needed milk anyway.

I can't cycle that far yet... Actually there is free WiFi here but it is a 0.45mb connection speed which is all they can get wired and ironically it you can get it working mobile data plans are faster, much faster (70Mb when it is working!)

The fog has lifted slightly.

I can now see the otherwise of the field.

"It just looked like the lights from a housing estate, so I came to bed instead of waking you" my OH famous last words. "It was not what I was expecting for the northern lights".

His description of the sky to the north of here (given to me this morning) as he was coming to bed.

NO and there's no bloody housing estate there either.

I've only wanted to see them all my life and last night was ideal time and place and my back was up to it!

PS we are currently in the middle of nowhere in Scotland. Almost as far from civilisation as you can get on mainland Scotland....

Maybe tonight? Be careful with that back.
