Much less liable to prosecution would be to write a polite note & then stick it to the windscreen with honey, or something similar.
They had gone by the time I went out ... I will have to remember the honey for another time:evil: though that's the first time in 3 years that it's been that bad!

I am totally unstressed. Playtime has come early for me. I might look for some part time work to have a bit of structure in the week but I've a shed full of balsa and a garage full of incendiary devices that are craving my attention.

The stressed ones are the unfortunate souls who are losing their jobs and have mortgages, loans and kids to maintain. There's another 20-30 folk who will be leaving involuntarily. I'm lucky enough to be close to the end of my expected working life in education for an early finish not to make much difference.
Is that all teaching staff from the same school?

If it is are the one's that are staying expected to cover the work?

Giving Venon more spare time can not be good for the health and safety of the people of Leeds.

We are returned ftom the recital by Lubomyr Melnyk. I have never heard a piano played quite like that before.

I was thinking of slipping in a cheeky mid winter diving holiday in Sharm. Hmmm...... Lets see how quick the Egyptians can act.

Four teachers working on a non teaching contract ( educational support for underperforming pupils) and the rest are Higher Teaching and Learning Assistants (HLTA), Teaching and Learning Assistants(TLA), a couple of admin staff, a librarian, an educational enrichment officer, a pastoral manager. All are from the same school.

The seven HTLAs that hang onto a job will be redesignated as cover supervisors, will take on the workload of the departing five HTLAs and have their pay reduced by £4,000 per year. The remaining workloads will be redistributed amongst the remaining workers. In addition, teachers who leave between Christmas and the summer will not necessarily be replaced leading to larger class sizes and a reduced capacity to cope with misbehaving and poorly motivated pupils.

No One from the senior management team has the balls to admit to screwing up so many lives and the school the budget by £700,000.

Like I said earlier. I see it as an early playtime. Only one other departing colleague is in the same happy place as me.

I'm not sure I can see how they think this is going to be a brilliant decision, the staff that are left are going to be under pressure to presumably perform better whilst working in a worsening environment, and worrying about the security of their job. The kids will suffer with the reduced staff too.

Shouldn't it be the people at the top that should be going for making poor decisions in the past?

When do you get your freedom granted?

I'm surprised that the management are still in place after the school was judged as Special Measures just before the summer hols.

The management structure is top heavy. There's fourteen assistant deputy heads, previously known as senior teachers. The school used to function perfectly with five.

My last working day is Thursday 24th March. My contract ends on 31st March. I'm regarding redundancy as a birthday present.

That does not sound great for the remaining staff at all.
When the school I worked at for 7 years went through redundancies, all the senior staff kept their jobs as , yet there were only 3 that I could honestly say actual deserved to keep their jobs and it was the harder working teachers that took the brunt. One or were happy about it. Time served, done my 25 years happy to take early retirement or redundancy but most were not. My saving grace was that IT was so understaffed that my job was always secure. There were only 2 technicians to cover over 550 students and some 150 staff (it was a boarding school).
