I now have tickets to attend a orchestral performance at Exeter Cathedral tomorrow evening, Kabalevsky Colas Breugnan Overture Shostakovich Piano Concerto No. 2 Rachmaninov Symphony No. 2.. I may try to listen to these pieces on Spotify before going so I know in advance when it's safe to unwrap a humbug.

Don't get thrown out for crowd surfing like last time.

Rachmaninoff symphony no 2 is one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever composed. Sit there with your eyes closed. You'll love it.

I'll forgo the humbugs for that one then.
I am rather looking forward to it, it's not a professional orchestra though... enthusiastic but all with proper jobs, whatever that is.

I won't bore you too much hopefully but I went to the same orchestra performing the 1812 Overture in the Cathedral last year. From inside the Cathedral you can't actually hear its own bells so they synchronised, and amplified inside, the peals of bells from the Cathedral itself and three other participating churches across the city live. Together with the recorded and then played at the appropriate time canon firing at Plymouth during the Jubilee it was stunning.

Morning from a damp and non snowy house.... Coffee is now beside the bed but My legs ache due to either Pilates or cycling.
