I've been out on my turbo cos it was :rain:

I'd like to thank the person who offered my brother a salaried job today. He starts tomorrow.

Thank you. :okay:

It is a huge relief to know that he will have a stable job, months notice, paid holidays and sick leave, not have to worry about not getting paid when his bike breaks down (not to mention he won't have to pay for the repairs either) or there isn't any work to be done, his fuel is paid for, actually have the option of overtime or weekend work and on top of that he will get a pension as well. He also gets showers at his work place and a locker. And on top of all of this, the wage packet is higher than he is on now. Finally once he has been there 12 months, his clothing is paid for as well (he's a motorbike courier). Knowing all of this (and the stable job bit - he is actually a very reliable courier and has been with his last employer for over 3 years, which is a long time in the courier business), especially the stable job bit will make my move much easier because he isn't going to be able to ring me up as often during the day and actually get an answer! (He frequently rings me during the day to talk to me. ahh there goes the phone again...

If the pigeon on my bird feeder eats any more of the bread, it'll need a rocket assist or catapult launch to get it airborne!!

Or a strategically applied boot.

don#t tell me you didn't get the torrential rain around lunchtime? please don't tell me you didn't. It nearly flooded the place out and it certainly pointed out all of the blocked guttering!
Er, no, we didn't! It's been a sunny day here until about an hour ago and now we have a continual stream of heavy showers traipsing across the Dee valley from Bangor on Dee!
