I just bought an Esbit folding stove this morn, so I'm guessing lunch may be some shrimpy ramen noodles. Unless Mrs. GA declares a visit to a local restaurant is in the works. Results just in. I'm told we are going out to lunch. Maybe from turkey to Turkish, perhaps.

I'm getting the hard word from Mrs Vernon. Hardship indeed...

I did her a favour and took the calorie hit as part of her calorie controlled diet but she's failing to understand the sacrifice that I've made on her behalf.

We are returned from the pub. No alcohol was consumed.


We have been wanting to see the comedian Nathan Caton for a while, it turns out that as part of te Leicester Comedy Festival in February he is playing our local pub. So instead of us going out to see him it looks like he's coming to see us. Result.

My cat has slept for most of the day.

That's all the tickets for the Comedy Festival bought, 9 shows in 19 days for us, it's going to be a marathon.

My new phone has glove mode for using the touchscreen in gloves.

It also has a fingerprint sensor to unlock it.
