They're to stop real birds from flying into the glass. I bought that set from the RSPB shop but garden centres often sell them too.

Just remove the glass. It's just as effective.

It has been reported from South Yorkshire that my great niece (6) and great nephew (4) got dressed properly with no messing about this morning, including coats, hats and gloves. I wonder why?

None here.... I love weekend snow, I'm not quite as keen on weekday snow as it tends to get in my way, and disrupts all my plans.
