not so much down sauf as we have good enough weather to do proper hay where as most of the wrapped bales are silage/haylage (not as critical with rain after being cut and baled sooner after being cut than hay and better for dairy farms)ahhh - the black spot and the pale green spots that appear like plagues in the countryside and slowly spread north as the weather improves...
we currently have a green spot outbreak around here
Sorry they don't half ruin a perfectly good landscape photo....
any way it's unfair to say they all look so bad, in fact i think they look great! and this year they came in the pretty in pink variety

bale wrap manufacturer volac decided to make a special run of pink bale wrap this year that they would charge a bit more for and the extra the customer pays goes to a breast cancer charity
it was MASSIVELY popular just proving even if farmers are skint and struggling to stay afloat what with the current milk and lamb etc prices we can still be charitable i'm not certain but i think it might well be back next year
