Our wood store is full from a tree that we had cut down in the spring, and then we stored the logs in a greenhouse which seemed to speed up the drying process.

Our greenhouse was full of Tomato plants, Chilli plants, and a few 'Herbs' all summer but I kept waiting in vain for the people who'd told me "I can get logs" to come up with the goods so I could stack up my woodstore. I went round to where a mate was working (on a house) when he said "There are loads of logs you can have" to find Leylandii that had been chopped down about a week (new owners just had the 'hedge' cut down)

Yesterday I fettled the lock on the bathroom door. For the last couple of years we have had to use the deadbolt knob to keep the door closed.
Now, after releasing the latch bolt from behind the latch plate, where it had jammed, we can just pull the door closed and use the handle to open it once ablutions have been carried out.

I have just been power washing various bits from the underside of a tram.

Been painting the terracotta tiles in our crap kitchen with tile paint. "Cloud White", apparently, but seems to have a pinky lilac tinge.

My head hurts now, the fumes are terribly pungent.
