My decorating of hall, landing and stairs (11 doors, 49 banister spindles, different colours above an below dado rail, different colour coving, etc etc....) is substantially complete, 48 hrs ahead of the return of SWMBO. I reckon 100hrs over 8 days. I think an imperial century every other day would be easier. I'm shattered. I'm 61, and on the basis of it lasting 10 years, I'm paying someone else to do it next time, if we are still in this house.....

I reckon professional decorators are either super fit, or under 50, or probably both. This has to be a young man's game.

11 doors and 49 spindles, I'm guessing you've got a hotel. Here at GM Towers we've got 8 doors and 18 spindles. 8 days, I'm impressed!
