We have started on the Aldi Jamon. It is most acceptable. There is some Blacksticks Blue and a Cornish Yarg with Wild Garlic in the fridge that may soon be brought into play.

Discovered amazing brussels this year. Steamed for 4 minutes. Plunged into ice water to stop the cooking. Meanwhile, bacon lardons/pancetta cooked til cripsy and put aside. Walnut halves beaten into pieces. Everything put back in the pan that the bacon/pancetta was in, stirred around and a squirt of honey added. Oh my nomnomnomnom.....

Yep, bacon and honey is the way. I blanched the sprouts, fried lardons, added the sprouts to get going and drizzled honey, thrn into the oven for 40 mins to equally crisp & soften.
Those who just boil should be slapped for disrepecting the sprout.

No 1 son - not quite dressed eating roux and drinking beer

We did he learn that sort of behaviour??

Miss K likes the England dressing gown and the roux from the pan. She took over gravy duty so she could have the pan to herself.
Edit. I think she might like more than she's letting on.

Christmas ham, green bean casserole and potatoes all finished,as with pumpkin pie, computer shopping begun in earnest. Dogs quite happy with their presents as well. (Fancee Feast beef, and a rawhide stick)((I know, I know, cat food, but they love it. It proves the versatility of the dog, IMHO. Cats would never eat dog food, except to anger the dog, but dogs will eat cat food, with relish. ))
