Mine does a lot of standing around, very rarely use it on my 4 off so can sometimes need a bit of persuading to get going on the first day back at work.Just got the car out, it had been standing since Sunday night, when I started it up it sounded like a bag of nails, by the time I'd defrosted it it had settled down and was back to normal.

Plus it's quite old now (no offence hill wimp) could do with trading it in for a younger model really.
I used to do that when I cycle commuted almost all the time, otherwise it would have been standing for weeks at a time.It might pay to take them on a bit of a spin in daylight to recharge the battery.

Longest mine went was 6 weeks without moving, was quite surprised when the battery was flatI believe my car is dead - just clicks. Not been used in about a month - the wife did run it in early December, but that's it.. Will charge it, and pop down to the battery place in Stockport once I can get out and drive again.. I'll just need to keep it on a top up charge.
Mines thirteen years old, Hyundai Getz thirteen hundred, never had a problem starting it, I've had it almost two years now and its been very reliable.Mine does a lot of standing around, very rarely use it on my 4 off so can sometimes need a bit of persuading to get going on the first day back at work.

Mine tends to do to many short trips, it always feels better for a long run.It might pay to take them on a bit of a spin in daylight to recharge the battery.

I got the RAC out to get it started then gave it a bit of a run, been fine since and there doesn't seem to be any long term damage to the battery (got it checked in August)
Anyway can't stop here gassing, I have a mtb to get dirty (ok dirtier)![]()
