There are 46 pigeons sitting on the roof of the building across the street.

A 'kit' or a 'loft' of pigeons is the collective noun apparently, according to here.
No word for a load of Egrets I see. @User14044 is the best one to ask.

One thing I really liked was the weekend, at work over the last few years I always found that I was under time pressure at the weekend, trying to fit to much to do into to little time to do it, last weekend having none of that was great.

Even the "tedious" stuff becomes less tedious when you haven't got to fit it into so little time. You can break off for Tea etc, when you feel like it. I am sure you will get the idea.

End of my first full week retired and its been a good week, I've enjoyed it. It didn't go to plan but I just went with the flow, the weather disrupted my cycling plans but I still got two rides in, and used the bike to run an errand, I also got a turbo trainer session in so I've started training, some other things I wanted to do didn't happen but theres time for those things to happen. I also joined my Good Lady at her pensioners club, played some bingo and did some socialising , so its been a good start I just need to keep it up.

Keep WHAT up.
