Bitter sweet day today.
Grandson and his two pets moved out yesterday. No more daily requests for 'bus, bus' to see buses on Youtube, no more little hand tugging me to play cars, no more small giggles and hysterical laughing nor little feet plodding about, no more plaintive little 'Bye Colin' when I leave the house nor excited banging on the windows when I come in.
No kisses goodnight, and cuddles at all times of the day. So that's sad.
On the other hand no cries and wails, interrupted conversations, noisy banging about, various stinks, no more sticky fingers making everywhere tacky and looking like a biohazard disaster area. No more half eaten chocolate bars just waiting for me to sit on. Meal times are relaxed and peaceful again. The house is tidy, it's quiet. Maybe too quiet.
I know visits will be frequent, but even so. You get used to little ones and miss themwhen they go.![]()
Cats are at the cattery
The house is hugely empty without them![]()
Luck wished!About to get up and rearrange my kitchen cupboards. Necessary job after a mini reshuffle to make room for a dishwasher. Wish me luck.

You want to see one part-way through a delivery!!With my sons Mrs working a regular Saturday morning Saturdays have become the day our Son and Granddaughter usually visit and its dropping into a cosy routine, the cupboards get raided, my Good lady's handbag and jewelry box get emptied, the toy box gets emptied and the lounge ends up looking like the aftermath of an explosion in a toy shop, but its eerily quiet after they've left.
