I'm off to Cardiff to treat the eldest to lunch, just got to find somewhere nice to dine preferably walking distance from Cathays!

Currently sat in the cafe in the gardencentre at countesthorpe with a coffee and a scrambled egg on toast, its been a lovely ride out.

First commute on bike to new office today (wimped out yesterday)... Arrived to find I hadn't brought any trousers.

Went to buy some at the nearest emporium, which just happens to be a branch of Top Man. Finally found some trousers I could get my thighs in without being huge around the waist, priced up at £35. Not worth it, but needs must, so I prepared to bite the bullet.

Imagine my surprise and delight as they were rung through at £10...

No snow here, there has been some rain though.
This is a part of the park which is used as a car park area for large events, more like a canoe park now.

Yes its lovely, its nice to be able to vary the days, on Sunday I did a 67 mile charity ride, during the week before it I only rode on the Tuesday so as to be fresh for Sunday, this week I've ridden 58 miles today and plan to ride Thursday, meeting friends at Hatton Locks, and that will leave me free to treat my Good Lady on Sunday, Valentines Day, I've also been catching up with odd jobs and joined my Good Lady's pensioners club which is good fun, I can't wait for the good weather so I can get out in the garden, I'm also planning to go back to doing Yoga. The only fly in the ointment has been an unexpected tax demand, its a substantial sum and I'm still checking that its right, if it is right and we can't come to an agreement on it I might have to go back to work
