Went out to get things this morning, and drop Mrs. GA at work, the slid off the road and into a ditch, but was pulled out by a farm implement man with a tow strap. I was happy to see him, he was happy to see $20 when it was all done. Then Mrs. GA's Uni closed, so I had to go back and get her. I actually used 10 pounds of kitty litter just getting my driveway drivewayable. I should hate to think what folks who live farther out are going through, as they also have longer driveways. To my south and east, but nearby, people are getting nearly a foot of snow, as I only got about 2 or three inches of very wet snow.

My colleagues have sent me another Amazon Voucher (different set of colleagues). My current bridge camera has packed in, so instead of putting it towards another, I've bought a telephoto lens for my son's EOS - just a basic Sigma 75-300mm but it will be a damn sight better than a bridge camera. I'll just have to rob my lads 700D.
Can't go wrong with a good Sigma lens. Nor a Tamron, in that focal length.

The reviews are favourable. The Sigma uses the same size filters so decided to go with it. It's the low end of the range without stabilisation, but we know to use tripods a big zooms. It's a beginners lens. His 700D came with a 18-55 STM motor canon lens - but that one is for video mainly, and the STM motor is ideal as it's quiet.

Rocky is one of your pupils?

No but Mrs Vernon wants to trade me in for him. She wants a quiet life.
