There were 2 birthday boys at work today, the jam tart was very tasty, the mars bar is in the fridge for later. Another birthday tomorrow so cake or chocolate on Monday

Better than I remembered

My new drive belt for the turntable just arrived, I can now play 45s without having to remove the platter and manually shift the belt on to the bigger bit of the drive pulley.
Time for the 12" version of .'Relax' to celebrate.

Edit - the into was a great 'speaker/amp' test, if they could hang onto that (electronic) bass drum transient attack without .bouncing' around out of control then they were doing well.
A lot failed.

Back in the 1770's/80's, My bit of land was at the edge of the Empire. I only have to go about 30 miles to stumble across a French fort from that time, though.

The French have always been just beyond the reach of civilisation.
