So when does everyone else cut off last year's stems from their pampas grass?

I've always done it at the beginning of March so I don't cut any of the new shoots. I got that from an old gardening book we found in the old shed when we moved in.
Also, it's cold enough to need long sleeves and coat done up to my chin. Good protection from the sharp leaves.
That's when I used to prune our pampas grass at our old house. (I had to rewrite that several times:giggle:), and yes you needed to wrap up to stop yourself from getting cut.

Situation normal then.

For the record, insect bites on the scrotum are no laughing matter.
Having suffered the equivalent,I concur :okay:

Many moons ago, I worked in the Jordan Valley. The beasties, both flying & crawling, there were often small, frequently vicious, and usually poisonous! If one of them was to bite you on the scrotum, or equivalent, you would be rolling them home in a wheelbarrow1
