Breakfast at Nanna and Grandads
Caught up with my colleagues last night. Folks aren't overly happy with the guy that's covering my post - rabbit in headlights they said. My desk has been shoved into a corner at the back of the office - THERE WILL BE WORDS when I return. And apparently all sorts of daft projects have been approved.
One in particular had me splitting my sides. There are some sort of community projects going on, and one is that this person's 3 geese (yes) can detect stress in people, and apparently put their wings round people feeling stress. Oh, and you apparently have to stand your ground as they can be boisterous. So, three big geese come towards you flapping their wings, who isn't going to feel stress that they are going to peck you. Oh, and they've had to phone round trying to find a private hire company that will transport them - apparently it's OK as the lady puts nappies on the geese. I was shown a photo the lady had sent in, and the poor things were dressed up and in prams. You can't make this up.
My line manager said there was some 'difficulties' - not sure I want to go back hearing this.![]()

1 day, 1 feckin day I don't come on here and there are 142 new messages on 'Mundane news'. it's gonna take me all day to catch up, 143 now![]()
Hope not. There is more....
We've been loaned an Indonesian Gamalan (think large oriental set of musical instruments - gongs, xylophone type stuff). It's big, fills a room. Well this wasn't communicated to the folk in the mail van - down they went to collect it to find it was literally truck loads, two sets of instruments (we didn't know that). So then started the hunt for a hire van and bodies. Over ten loads later, and a completely filled music room and store. How the hell are we are going to use it as no-one actually knows how to put it together, so there is training needed. Oh and tuning should be done by Indonesian Monks (I'll grab one off the street then).
Yes drive, I have to get it out of my system.Drive.......![]()
