I have just paired my car with my phone. My car now knows all my contacts' numbers. I have just made my first ever hands free call. Granted it was from my driveway to tell Lu I was coming back in, but it counts.

So, Leeson's 1/2lb Melton Mowbray pork pie.

Impressive form and it cut crisply without the pastry crumbling. Good fill and light on the jelly

On eating the pastry was crisp without a hint of greasyness, the jelly was just set and disolved in the mouth. The filling was lean, well seasoned with pepper with a consistant soft texture. Very good pie 8/10. Would have been 9/10 if I had got the 1lb. pie as the meat to pastry ratio would have been better.

Coupled with a chunk of Lincolnshire Poacher cut from the wheel and hand baked bread; an excellent Rutland lunch.

The drive has been de-mossed and de-mucked whilst Lu mowed the lawn. First time I've broken into a sweat this year (other than when someone suggested I ride my bike). Lovely sunshine, this might be the first day of spring in Leicester

Bit mean on the jelly and too much bread and butter.
