Went for a pootle round the village. I suppose that since it hasn't rained since this morning it was bound to rain while I was out.

I've been looking at full bouncers for a bit. Some cracking deals in sales. I've looked at the Boardmans recently, but the last year models are virtually all gone, and anything available is the other end of the country with no delivery to local stores.
One of my local stores was supposed to have one in, but I've not seen it in there. Anyway, my wife asked me to lunch, and we were just next door to Halfords. Soo, I popped in after lunch. I asked them do they have it, as the stock system said yes.
Ah, we do, but it's a bit tatty as it's been in the stock room for ages. Out they wheel a 18" Boardman FS Pro 650B 2014 (silver and green). It literally has a few chips and a 2cm scratch on the down tube - something you'd get in a few weeks of use. It was grubby and dusty. Asked them what they can do it for, and they said £100 off the Sale of £1199. I said, OK can I be cheeky and have BC discount as well. So onto the system they went and I got it for £1000 with 3 years free servicing thrown in. Two of the lads in store do DH, so knew their stuff.
It's a cracking bike, full SRAM X9, SRAM Guide RS brakes, Mavic wheels, carbon seatpost (will get a dropper), Rocket Rons. Rock Shox Revelation Solo Air 130mm, and a Rock Shox Monarch RL 125mm. It also has through axels front and Rear ! It's very light !
I've given it a good clean up, and touched up the scratches. It's a hell of a lot of bike, I won't get too precious about as it already has a couple of nicks you'd get from everyday use (probably first ride).
It's mothballed at the minute though as I can't do any silly stuff, but at over £600 off it was too good to miss. I've been wanting one for a while.
